Gina K Designs September New Release Day Two: Autumn Splendor Card Kit

Time to check out the Gina K Designs September 2019 Card kit called Autumn Splendor!

There is so much going on with this kit! It’s full of goodies like one and two step stamping, the amazing stencil and the coordinating dies! You will love it!

Let’s take a peek at what I made with the kit!

I started with a base which I brushed with skeleton leaves ink. The leaves were all hand cut (I know there is a die, we just didn’t have access to it, so I manually cut the leaves to layer on top) the sentiment is embossed with Gina K Copper embossing powder!

The second card uses a variety of green and yellow and beige inks on kraft paper. The smile die cut on white card stock really pops!

This card was stamped with barely there and colored with copic markers! I love the sentiment in black!

I used a stencil for the background using some fall colors. I love this sentiment. I sent this card off to Karen (who is in her senior year of college). She embraces all things fall! I miss her and sometimes sending a little note makes me feel less sad!

This last card is so fun! I simply used the leaves and embossed them with Gina’s rose gold powder. Oh my! On the black card stock it’s amazing! I die cut the hugs sentiment and embossed that too. This card is classy!

Here is a close up of the embossed die!

In case you haven’t been convinced to order – consider this incentive stamp Santana Rose, which you can get with a qualifying purchase of $75.

For this one layer card, I simply used the brushes to add green and turquoise inks to the stencil. I used the sentiment from Santana Rose ink obsidian amalgam ink. I added one tiny gem to the center of the middle flower! So simple! What do you think?

Gina K Designs September New Release Day One: Majestic Peony and Happy Fall

Today I am participating in the Gina K Designs September New Release blog hop. Today we are featuring two new sets: Majestic Peony by Hannah and Happy Fall by Emily.

This first card was created for my daughter who is back to college! She embraces all things fall, so this was the perfect sentiment for the card! It almost smells of pumpkin spice!

Can you tell that this is my favorite time of year? These leaves with this sentiment- ack! I’m in love!

Majestic peony will make you swoon! Every card I made with this set made me say wow! I stamped the Peony with skeleton leaves ink and colored with white ink from the Gina k Designs white ink pad with a watercolor brush. I added a few pearls and the sentiment and it was soft and perfect!

This next card is my favorite. I stamped the Peony in barely there ink and then colored with watercolors. I truly love how this one turned out!

The full hop list is on Gina’s blog! You should have come from Mindy’s blog.

September 2019 Release Party Samples

Here are the cards which I created for the release party

this car was done with white embossing powder on kraft card stock. I colored with comic markers.

This card was done with the embossing resist technique. I used the brushes to create the background with traditional fall colors.

This card uses a lightly brushed stencil background with the Autumn Splendor kit! The main image was stamped on white and I brushed the edges to make it softer. The black layer makes it pop and the twine gives it that rustic fall feel!

this final card is so simple. I love love love the font used in the forever sentiment! Ack! The leaves are two step stamped and then I added some tiny black beads.

Tomorrow I will be sharing Hannah & Emily’s sets and the samples I created with them! Come back tomorrow!!!

Gina K. Designs Card Kit & Illustrator Blog Hop July 2019: Day Two

Today’s hop features the new card kit: Pop Art Flowers along with Hannah’s Main Squeeze stamp set. There is a ton to share/show today!

Pop Art Flowers Card Kit

Hannah’s Main Squeeze stamp set
Fun Idea: Use stencils to create the perfect coordinating background strips

This card is a lemon drop base with some fun paper strips. I used the random dot stencil and the new diagonal stripe stencil to create these two strips of paper. One with peach bellini ink and one with key lime ink. The lime, grapefruit and lemon were stamped on the die cuts, then attached atop the strips of paper. I stamped the sentiment in black ink.

Fun idea: stamp some berries on the card and stamp some on dies to give card dimension.

This card features the strawberries from the set. I stamped some directly on the card base and then I added one die cut one. I used two small strips of black polka dot paper to enhance the card.

Fun Idea: Make your own patterned paper using stencils and Gina K Inks

I used the diagonal striped stencil with pink passion ink to create the striped layer and some black and white polka dot paper to layer underneath the flowers. Bubblegum pink and pink passion flowers with a few little innocent pink and sweet corn flowers thrown in. Each has a dot of glitter gel in the middle.

Fun Idea: Use the new electro pop colors to make beautiful bright flowers

Check out all these amazing colors. I used poppin pink, potent purple and blaring blue to make the flowers pop off the card! Aren’t they perfect with that sentiment?

Fun Idea: Use non traditional colors for a unique look

This card uses the leaf from the pop art flowers kit. You don’t need to layer the leaves to create a unique design. This is a sympathy card which also uses the the sentiment from the new incentive set called Layered Eucalyptus.

Incentive set: Layered Eucalyptus
Fun Idea: Mix and match your inks to create endless ideas with flowers/leaves

This card uses the leaves from the set (and the sentiment from the incentive set). Unfortunately there have been many funerals this summer so I needed to make several sympathy cards.

Fun Idea: Layer your main image to create a framed look

This card uses the new incentive set: Layered Eucalptus. I used the stitched oval die and layered it on the card base. The stamp layers were Soft sky, stormy day and moonlit fog.

Fun idea: use multiple color inks and a stencil to create a one of a kind card

This final card uses the new Funky Flourish stencil. The sentiment is from one of the sets in the card kit! I used the blender brushes with pink passion, bubblegum pink, and powder blue inks. Sentiment is stamped in black ink.

The full hop list is on Gina’s blog! You should have come from Donna’s Blog. I am the last blog on the hop! If you leave a comment on all the blog’s today you are in the running for a $50 gift certificate for Gina K. Designs store! Winner will be announced on Gina’s blog on August 2.

Gina K. Designs Card Kit & Illustrator Blog Hop July 2019: Day One

There is so much to squeeze in these next two days! There are multiple new sets and a new card kit!

Today will feature sets from Melanie, myself and Lisa! These new sets are incredible! Here are the sets (and for the first time ever, mine comes with a coordinating die!)

Melanie’s Perfect Pallets
Beth’s Beautiful Balloons (coordinating die available!)
Lisa’s Your Wings
Fun idea: create a wood fence card

This card features Melanie’s set. I used a dark chocolate base and stamped the images in dark chocolate. I colored them with copic markers to give them a weathered look! Each board was trimmed and attached to the base. The smaller board is perfect to go across the fence. I added the hearts and sentiment! So cute!

Fun Idea: Use a light color ink to create a fun background

This card uses skeleton leaves ink to create the background. I used powder blue and christmas pink inks for the flowers/leaves.

Next up is my new set, Beautiful Balloons, which has a coordinating die. I am so happy with how this set came out. I love the mix and match fonts and the variety of balloons.

Fun idea: Use Melanie’s set to create a background in fun colors

This first card is on a dusty rose base with dusty rose ink! The balloons were die cut and then stamped with lovely lavendar, dusty rose and blue lagoon inks. I added a few gems to add a little sparkle.

Fun Idea: Use the balloon outline and color the balloons with copics!

This card uses the balloon stamp layered (using a post it note) on a Gina K. Designs white base. The card was colored with copic markers. Super Simple to create! The balloons could be colored for baby showers (pink or blue), graduation cards (school colors) or birthdays! The possibilities are endless.

Fun Idea: Use designer paper or scraps of alcohol inked paper for fun balloons

The balloons on this card were on a piece of glossy paper that I colored with green and blue alcohol inks. I die cut the balloons and then stamped with black ink. Sentiments were mix and match from the set too!

Fun Idea: Use some liquid pixie dust to make the wings sparkle

This new set by Lisa is so beautiful! I loved creating this butterfly using some of the alcohol ink scraps from my stash. I added some liquid pixie dust to the wings for some added sparkle. The body of the butterfly was trimmed and then I added some glitter glue to it. The sentiment was stamped in black ink.

Fun Idea: Keep your card simple using one layer

This second card uses a turquoise sea base which pairs so nicely with Gina K. Black ink. I stamped the butterfly and some additional images from the set in the wings. Finally, the other sentiment in the set makes for a wonderful inspirational card. I love the simple look of the black and turquoise together.

Gina K. Designs & Inkon3 Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Gina K. Designs & Inkon3 Collaboration Blog hop! I have a bundle of fun (fundle) to show you! I created some super cute cards with products from both companies!

Inkon3 Bad & Boujee stamp set
Inkon3 Bad and Boujee coordinating die set

Gina K. Designs Vibrant Blooms stamp
Fun Idea: Use a strip of designer paper on your card to break up the white space

This first card uses an A2 white card with a strip of black polka dot paper. It uses cherry red ink for the lips and black amalgam ink for the sentiments.

Fun Idea: Channel your inner James Charles for a fun take on lipstick

I made this super cute card with the rainbow lipstick for a family friend! He loves makeup and making people beautiful, so I thought this would help him channel his inner James Charles! The kisses die cut was covered in this amazing stuff called liquid pixie dust! It is something that you can use a little or a lot of. I chose a lot! HA HA! I painted it on the die cut with a paint brush.

Fun idea: Add some liquid pixie dust to the perfume bottle and diamonds

This was my daughters favorite of the three I made with the Bad and Boujee set. The perfume bottle and big diamond are die cut, colored and covered with liquid pixie dust (and popped up with foam dots). The smaller diamonds are stamped right on the A2 card.

Now on to Vibrant Blooms! I had a bunch of thank you notes to make for the teachers this year and this set proved to be a lifesaver! I love the thank you sentiment. It is the perfect size and the elegant font is delightful!

Fun Idea: Create a background on glossy paper with alcohol inks and cut into strips for one-of-a-kind cards

This card uses a strip of glossy paper which I cut into 4.25×5.5 pieces. I made a huge background and then cut it into smaller strips for multiple cards. Once the alcohol ink was completely dried, I stamped the flowers with the flower from Vibrant Blooms in black amalgam ink. Then I added some liquid pixie dust all over the glossy strip! Oh boy does it shimmer. The sentiment is stamped in black amalgam ink!

I made this background with alcohol ink and the leaf bunch from Vibrant Blooms. This time I stamped the sentiment on the glossy paper as well. I added a little liquid pixie dust to make it sparkle.

Fun Idea: stamp the images on a post it note so you can layer the flowers and leaves.

I stamped the flowers on the cards in layers by using a post it note to cover the flowers and give it some depth. I colored the images in copic markers and then stamped the sentiment. Super easy card and the flowers are fun to color!

That is my contribution for the blog hop! I hope you liked them. If you want to play along to win one of the $50 gift cards, leave a comment on my blog (and all the other blogs). Which card was your favorite?
